Description: |
Topics included are a brief
overview of the history of
Lean Principles, an
introduction to key concepts
of Lean in Healthcare - how
it impacts both culture and
technical aspects, wastes in
a Healthcare environment,
the importance of Value
Stream Mapping and how to
create Flow.
Mike Boucher, is an expert
and one of the pioneers of
Lean in Healthcare. He will
explain the effectiveness of
'systems' thinking versus
'point' thinking, and how
Value Stream Mapping is
critical to align activities
and create a client-focused
perspective.
This session will give you
the knowledge on how to get
started and the impact Lean
could have your organization
when done properly. This
perspective allows both
staff and leaders to truly
identify the needs of their
clients to provide quality
care and service delivery at
least cost. We will discuss
what your organization can
expect from a Lean journey
and some guidelines will be
provided to help you achieve
a successful implementation
and ultimately a
transformation.
